This is the absolute best little boot ever! I have struggled for years with foot, knee, hip issues unless I wore my running shoes. Then I found SOLE! These cute little boots are heaven to my feet! Comfortable, easy to put on (zipper at the back) and look super with leggings, tights etc!
Great for sneakers; too thick for Crocs
I am recovering from hip replacement surgery and have learned that I need arch support to correct my leg alignment from "duck-footed" to straight ahead. This Active Thick SOLE with Met Pad is perfect support for my daily walks when placed inside my sneakers. I first tried them inside my Crocs, my "inside shoes," and this was painful, as the Crocs have surprisingly little give. So now I know I need a Medium thickness with Met Pad for Crocs, Thick with Met Pad for sneakers. I don't know how I managed without this support for so long! Thank you, SOLE.
Supports Entire Running Frame
This is my second pair, two pair of shoes. After trying the 1st pair I found that I no longer needed my sorbothane heal pads. For those who don't know what they are, they came to market over 40 years ago. They absorb sock in a great way, used to protect the body from they wear of various prosthesis and ballistic vests. I have used them for over 40 years with no running injuries. SOLE replaced them without any issues. The SOLE Active with Med Pad keeps my ankles, legs, and hips in alignment. My quicker recovery from runs can be attributed to their use. Try them
Don't Leave Home Without SOLE
I have worn SOLE in every pair of shoes for several years. I grew tired of moving 2-3 pairs around between shoes so I recently purchased 2 pair of thins for my dress shoes, 2 pair of mediums for tennis shoes and a pair of thick for my work boots. I moved my old ones to my golf shoes and snow boots. I believe so strongly in the product that I purchased 2 pair for my wife, 1 for my child and 1 for a coworker with some lower body pain. Taking care of your feet impacts several parts of your body up to your neck (ankles, knees, hips, back and neck). SOLE are money well spent.
Excellent support for the feet with knock-on benefits for the knees, hips and back
Awesome - Comfortable and Stylish
I used to hate wearing Flip sandals. My feet would ache due to a lack of support. This sandal is amazing because it is minimalistic and supports the arch of my foot very well. Thank you SOLE for another awesome product! I wear your products everyday in all of my footwear! My feet and hips and lower back thank you!!
My go-to sandals
These are the best sandals I've ever owned. I have problems with plantar fasciitis and hip pain. But with these sandals, I can walk all day pain-free. Will be buying another pair next summer!
Happy Joints and Happy Feet
I am flat-footed (and pronate), and while I love thongs, they simply don't do the bottom of my feet and rest of my body any good. I usually end up with lower joint problems from my hips down to my ankles when I would wear traditional sandals. The arch support in the Costa Flip allows me to comfortably wear them (and actually walk long distances) without any pain during or after. It is such a nice change. I wear them often on walks that are often a good hour or so -- not just to wander around in! The bed has a nice amount of cushion, and I never experienced any blisters! Not even after my first wear.
These insoles are on par with my custom orthotics. They support my arches through a long day of walking and standing. They may take a little getting used to for someone unfamiliar with orthotics but it's worth the adjustment period. Your feet, ankles, hips and lower back will thank you. Definitely worth the investment.

Overweight/Post Hip Surgery Win!!
This product helps my flat feet! It decreased my pain after my hip replacement. I've been wearing this for a few months and I ONLY hurt when I DON'T wear them. As an overweight person I was concerned they wouldn't be for me, but I love them, they are great construction, support me well. I have wide feet, but these fit great. They fit good in my tennis shoes. They feel good on my feet, the top is a felt like material and very soft when I wear flats without socks. So comfortable, I plan on purchasing an active footbed and a pair of sandals for this summer!! Can't wait!!

I have had a lot of shoe inserts promise to relieve foot, ankle, knee, and hip pain. None ever delivered. It was a pleasant surprise to realize that after a few weeks of using the SOLE inserts, I was walking further and enjoying it more. I'd love to be able to get SOLE inserts for every pair of shoes that I own!
I have 2 pairs of these and I switch them back and forth, depending what footwear I am wearing at the time. I love them and without them I have so much pain in my back and hips. I wish I could afford to buy a pair for all my footwear.
Best insoles ever
Have been using these for a long time. Eliminates my hip & knee joint pain. Use them in every pair of shoes
These are beyond amazing! Sole flips allow me to walk again without pain in my hips, knees, or feet! They have changed my life! I now have two pairs for inside and three pairs for outside. I will continue to purchase SOLE products. I cannot wait for the boots!
I can walk again!
I need a footbed in most shoes to be able to walk due to a hip problem. The SOLE Active Thin footbed is the perfect addition to my shoes providing enough support for miles of pain free walking. Can't be without them!
I totally agree with Mr. Lacroix I was shocked and disappointed when my flips broke a thong. They were worn at least 150 days annually and only lasted 9 years !! I too had plantar fasciitis and bought the flips on the advice of my pharmacist. Imagine my surprise when my hip pointer also disappeared. I have sole inserts in all my shoes but wear the flips most of the time.
As a female I have large feet so nice shoes that fit are hard to find, but I have always loved flip flops. That was until I developed planters fasciitis. One of my team mates recommended Sole, I was a bit taken back by the price at first, but WOW, they were worth every penny! I have had so many pairs now that I have lost count. The first few pairs wore out after a couple of years of hard wearing, which just gave me an opportunity to buy more. I own the winter boots, shoes, sport flips, cork flips (my favorite), slides, and the new navigator. Other then when I have to dress up, Sole it is all I wear. I have been a very satisfied customer since 2007. PS the planters fasciitis was gone within a month. I wear them for 12 hour days at trade shows and never have sore feet, knees, back or hips. They are magic!!!!
I'm in LOOOOOOOOOVE
I work 12 hour shifts on a busy nursing floor. There are days I do not get to sit down! I'm also a runner. My feet take a beating. Coming home to my Exhales is something I look forward to every day. Confession: I even wear the suckers to work occasionally when I'm on nights or weekends (yeeees, I disinfect before bringing them home). My Exhales are, without a doubt, the comfiest, cosiest thing my feet have ever encountered. I have orthotics in every pair of footwear that I own but there is something particularrily comforting about the combination of the support, sheepskin foot pad lining and soft sides. My back, hips, knees, bunions and feet THANK YOU.
I am a Physician Assitant deployed to Iraq right now and we have a stock of Sole inserts and they have been a Godsend. I have seen more plantar fasciitis over the past months than in the past 5 years of practice. I tried some insoles because I was having some foot pain and I fell in love. We have gone through over 100 pairs for our troops and we keep ordering more because word got out and they are helping everything from foot, ankle, knee, hip and even back pain. I can't say enough about these insoles. Every other PA and Doctor here also has a pair in their shoes after hearing me and my patients rave about them and they are all in love now too.
Long Lasting cusion and high arch support.
In the last couple of years, foot and ankle pain have set me back. I'd been going back and forth to the podiatrist, getting new casts for custom orthodics, walking on the gel for a high tech casting for orthodics, etc. Everything always came back with the arch starting in the middle of my heel and giving me no arch support. I have size 14 feet and I think the shoe companies imagine people with bigger feet still have their arches in the same spot as little feet. Anyway, I got a new Podiatrist who is the favorite of the Northwest Ballet. He recommended Softec Ultras. They've made a huge difference. The arch started at the edge of my heal but it molded to me just fine. I didn't use the oven for fear the arch would fall a bit, I just let them mold to me over time, which they did nicely. They have the feeling of a brand new pair of Asics Gel Nimbus, but with a higher arch and more cushion. They last longer than the Asics standard 3 months. I've had these in my Asics for about 9 months and the Asics were about 3 months old when I put in the Softec Ultras. Which brings up the thought that the Asics don't wear out so fast, the Asic footbeds are what wears out. They really helped with my, sitting, standing, ankle-knee-hip board work, walking, and drumming endurance. Life is a lot better than I thought it would be by now.
Changed my life
I've tried and failed in the past to get into running due to knee, hip and pain caused by my over pronation. Having a pair of these into my various shoes, I'm feeling great, and on my way to running my first triathlon. I had various custom cast orthotics made for me during my teens, but these beet them hands down. A note on the customer service I have recieved: Excelent! They even replaced my first pair after I incinerated them (set oven to Celcius during an attack of stupidity).

I have gained freedom from pain in my feet, hips back and neck
I tried these without any recommendation or knowledge of your company or product line. I have suffered for years from problems with foot alignment, a bad back, and even orthopedic surgery to correct back and foot problems. Doctors prescribed incredibly expensive orthotics which my insurance company will not pay for (they are a luxury item). When I stumbled across your website, honestly I thought to myself "what do I have to lose?" I have lost nothing. I have gained freedom from pain in my feet, hips back and neck for the first time in about ten years. I can't thank you enough. I am on my feet all day long and walk a lot. I am becoming your best, free advertisement and will certainly be a repeat customer. Thank you, from the bottom of my feet!
I wish I had found them years ago
The Sole is simply fantastic and I wish I had found them years ago. A 140km ride and not a grumble at all from knees or hip. It's amazing. Usually after a long ride like that I have to take a couple of prescription anti inflammatories just to ease things along in recovery. But the Sole ensured a "perfect" fit and pedal stroke which meant, almost unbelievably, that neither during the session or once home and recovering I had no discomfort. Another big hurdle they've passed is the "killer" turbo sessions my coach has me doing. Sitting on a static bike for two hours is never fun and in fact has caused me even more discomfort due to the lack of all round movement. Once again the Sole seems to be the bit of magic I have been missing. I honestly could not think higher of them. This positive feedback is totally regardless of the great customer service etc. If they didn't work I would simply just chalk it up. What more can I say than it's a great product which works! I honestly don't know how I coped without them now.
Brought back the joy of running
A great product. Had recurring knee pain which then led to hip discomfort. I was skeptical but ordered the insoles based on comments on runnersworld.com. Am very glad I did! Received them yesterday, performed the heat molding, and had my second run in them this morning. No pain! Great support. Brought back the joy of running. Thank you!
Happy feet, back & knees!
I have wide feet with high arches and insteps and I have always had trouble with shoes fitting properly. I've had long time lower back pain and a bad knee that's recently made my hip joint act up. My sister was visiting (see Susan from Santa Fe review below) and showed me her ultra insoles and raved about them. I ordered a pair which arrived last week and I'm completely sold on them! I've just returned to your web site and ordered two more pairs for myself and one for my husband to try. After one week of wearing your ultra softec insoles my stiff knee is much better, my back ache is nearly gone and I noticed yesterday that my hip doesn't hurt any more! Thank you for a great product!
With your footbeds I can play tennis, hike and just enjoy my active life
I Have your soles in ALL MY SHOES Without your product I can not even walk without foot pain and other related pain up my leg and into my hip. With your footbeds I can play tennis, hike and just enjoy my active life. Before discovering SOLE I had tried every footbed I found but was always in pain as they did not work for me. I Bless the day I found you!!! I am so thankful for your footbeds. THANK YOU so much
Thanks to SOLE products and our good LORD in heaven and DK+ insole I CAN COPE!!!
Thanks to SOLE products and our good LORD in heaven and DK+ insole I CAN COPE!!! Today I received me Dean Karnazes custom insoles, I did mold them perfectly in the oven and fit them into my running shoes- very easy to do! I am a disabled Marine Corps Veteran (shot in the lower back, and received shrapnel in my legs in 1982 in Beirut Lebanon). After years of feeling sorry for myself and letting depression take hold of my life 2 years ago I set out to start running again. I started out slow with 3 back and hip supports, and tried hundreds of insoles- they really never made my run fun. BUT TODAY... I ran 90% pain free 12 miles to be exact! SOLE inserts are awesome! My feet didn't kill me, my back was okay, and my knees were good too! You have a great product which I would endorse to any athlete or anyone who just walks around. I almost cried when I got back from my run, I can't thank these DK+ insoles enough. Your product brought back a sense of pride and hapiness to do what I really enjoy- running! My two sons who are in high school shake their heads in disbelief that I go for a 10 mile runs now. My wife and my boys mother is serving in the US Army and is deployed in Iraq, and I write her and tell her that the running is going great. My running also helps me cope with her being deployed in a dangerous place. I have been spreading the word about your great product. Thank you and keep up the great insoles! Regards Mike
I can work out, walk and be on my feet all day
Please explain your foot-related problems prior to purchase: A. I could hardly walk as my feet were putting out the alighment of my knees(and the rest of my body). I was sent to Poditarists and had more than one pair of orthotics made. some of them helped a bit but a lot of them made it so I could hardly walk at all and had so much more pain. This was very costly also. Then I went to a Chiropracter who works on pressure points. It is a total different way of alighning ones body. When I stated seeing my Chiropracter I stopped wearing my orthopics as I would just be put into balance and my orthopics would put me right out of sorts again. But I needed something and as I had been trying out the SOLE INSOLES, I started to wear them daily. It is hard to get the thinner insoles, as Work World's mainly sell the thick ones. So thanks to the staff from Sole in Calgary for mailing me out a pair of red Soles. I can work out, walk, and be on my feet all day and my legs get tired but I do not have the knee pain as the knee is getting stronger. The doctors kept telling me I was just getting old and to expect the pain and knees going. But I kept thinking NO they are wrong. There has to be something out there and it is such a simple thing, A insole that works. More people have to learn not to give up when they are in pain and in there heart know that there knees are turning in because of the way there feet are or there back or hips or neck or so many parts of the body hurt or you are taking pain killers just to get through the day. Begin at your Feet and if at first you are not getting any leadway, don't give up. Keep trying. Go to the Sole Site, or just try a pair, often the body has to be put into alighment first then with the insoles life will begin. And I feel the insoles should be sold in some shoe stores. Often the sales clarks get to know your feet. Find a establised store and get to know them like you do a Doctor.
Your feet and legs will thank you
A must for anyone who is on their feet! I'm a runner and started having foot pain in various areas. This SOLE Custom Footbeds solved the aches and pains. My hip problem also disappeared. I own 2 pair and wear one for my workouts and one for everyday wear. Your feet and legs will thank you.

A great product that can be worn out of the box
I have used many off-the-shelf arch supports over the past ten years as an Orthotist for residents of Kansas. These people are soldiers and I see a variety of foot types. I average about 90 patients per week with approximately 70% having foot related problems. Most of these problems are associated with hyper-mobile joints of the foot causing a flattened arch. With most shoes or boots this flattened arch position is present due to inadequate insoles that are not conformed to every persons feet. Some of the problems are plantar fasciitis, heel spurs, shin splints, knee pain and sometimes hip and low back pain. SOLE has come up with a great product that can be worn out of the box or heat molded to fit a persons feet. These orthotics have proven to provide the contour that people need in their shoes and I often get requests for more than one pair. SOLE Custom Footbeds are a cost effective way to reduce the hyper-mobility of the feet comfortably without adjustments.
These insoles are better than sex
I wanted you to know that these insoles are better than sex. In the past year or so my feet have been killing me, my face probably looked like a prune with the pain, due only in part to high arches and insteps and over pronation of the left foot, due to poor fitting and non supporting athletic shoes by inexperienced shop staff. However, I had tried spenco and superfeet, the latter being ok, but not having any metatarsal cushioning. Now to sole orthotics, I bought a pair 3 days ago, and the relief was immediate. I now find myself running up stairs rather than creeping up like a crab to the hip pain; Enough said. "The best and better than sex" should be your slogan. Of course, just for people with foot problems. Thanks.

Met pad support
SOLE now offers footbeds with a built-in metatarsal pad. This is an added element of forefoot support that sits under the transverse arch, the arch behind the ball of the foot that runs across the width of the foot. It lifts and separates toes, putting them back into their natural resting position, to relieve pressure and pain in the area that can be caused by issues such as Morton's neuroma and metatarsalgia. This added support also increases circulation and reduces discomfort caused by ill-fitting footwear.
